Make sure that they know these updates are happening and look at your links to make sure that they aren’t using over-optimized anchor text, are coming from sites that are irrelevant to yours, or in the worst case scenario that your links come from “adult” websites. Once you’ve gone over your links with a fine tooth comb, add some fresh ones from relevant websites to spruce up your content.

[success]3. Content[/success]

We know Google ranks websites with blogs, videos, and relevant images higher than websites that don’t have these features. So if you’ve been neglecting your blog or using images from years ago, now is a good time for an update. If you don’t already have a video on your site, get to it! It doesn’t have to be complicated. Create a simple 1-minute video made with your computer’s webcam, posted onto YouTube, and linked back to your website. As long as it’s fun, informative, and engaging – visitors to your site will love it!
