End of The Phone Age: 4 Reasons to Use E-mail

4 Reasons to Use E-mail

More and more professionals are getting increasingly irritated with the amount of phone calls they get. Phone calls come at all times of the day, usually when you’re unavailable to give the person on the other end the amount of time and attention they deserve, and remembering to phone someone back simply slips your mind. We’re huge believers in the effectiveness of e-mail. Here’s our reasons for throwing out the phone and sticking to e-mailing exclusively.

1. Responsesfreequotation

Phone calls often mean having to respond right away. This isn’t always the best way to go – when it comes to the world of business, you have to think through our decisions, even risks are very carefully calculated. E-mail allows for some time to pass and to think through your answer to an impending question.

2. Productivityplay

Taking a phone call in the middle of your day ruins the flow of productivity. Setting a specific time for each day for when you will go through and answer all your e-mails allows you to compact this process and not have to interrupt your work flow multiple times throughout the day.

3. Miscommunicationsocial media marketing

Calls get dropped, you may be put on speakerphone, or perhaps you simply can’t understand the person you’re talking to. E-mail takes care of all these problems. While no method of communicating is 100% foolproof, e-mail allows for some kind of common ground to be established without any outside distractions.

4. Small Talkarrow

When it comes to the world of business, no one really has time for small talk. Calling someone without going through the niceties and everyday mundane questions is considered rude. Not through e-mail, however. It’s quick, efficient, and there is absolutely no need to go through pleasantries unless you have never communicated with the other person beforehand.
