5 Ways To Stay Productive At Work

With the weather taking a turn for the better and thoughts drifting off to summer plans and vacations, it’s the hardest time of year to stay productive at work. Summer’s not here yet and there’s still work to be done, so here’s our list of ways to keep being productive:

[success]1. To-Do Lists[/success]

If you’ve got a long list of things to do in front of you and none of them are done, chances are you won’t be feeling so good about yourself. Checking things off one by one gives you a feeling of accomplishment and success.

[success]2. Keep Moving[/success]

executeIt’s easy to get sleepy and bored while sitting at a desk all day. Go outside on your break, take a brisk walk, and refresh your senses. As for inside the office, opt for a headset and walk around if you’ve got room while you’re making calls. This is a simple way to keep your energy up and your brain out of a sleepy state of mind.

[success]3. Mind Over Matter[/success]

You won’t be productive if all you’re thinking about is how stressed you are. Gather your thoughts, focus on the task at hand, and get it done.

Chances are, the work is complete, but not to the best of your abilities. Slow it down – your boss would rather you do things right than to do them fast. If you feel like time is an issue, set up a time limit in which you want to complete something and try to stay within that boundary.

[success]5. Brainstorming[/success]

getSometimes you just can’t do it on your own. If you feel like you’re stuck, ask questions! You’ll be surprised at how many of your co-workers are in the same position as you. Or try having a half hour brainstorming session of just bouncing ideas off of each other with a few co-workers, it’ll open you up to some new ideas and improve productivity.

I live by list making. It’s honestly the best. Although, one should not get too carried away with the list making because it can also be a great way to procrastinate!

Checklists are good, except for when you really want to have that check mark beside number one and it seems to never be done…That is when quantity vs. quality needs to come in!

I always make a list of things to do and specific schedule for each work. It’s very effective. If you can’t remember all things to do you can use sticky notes to remind. You should have time to resk. Relax your mind, you will have a lot of new ideas and improve productivity.
